RED NOSE DAY

Comic Relief

Red Nose Day x Ring Brand Partnership Campaign

Context:
Comic Relief, one of the UK’s leading charities, has been a beloved part of British culture since its founding in 1985. Each year, its iconic Red Nose Day brings the nation together, using comedy to raise funds for critical causes. Comic Relief is one of Amazon UK’s flagship charities, aiming to raise £3 million through Red Nose Day sales.

Brief: Amplify Red Nose Day 2025 by turning awareness into action—driving donations and engagement.

Insight: Ring invented the world's first video doorbell to provide an extra layer of security and peace of mind at customers' front doors. But what they didn't expect was millions of videos shared online of funny and heartfelt moments that happen at people's doorsteps. In fact, there are over 11 million TikTok videos and YouTube compilations of hilarious moments captured through Ring cameras.

The Idea: Doorstep Comedy Club

Comic Relief and Ring turn every doorstep into a comedy club for Red Nose Day.

UGC Challenge: “Donate a Joke”

Amidst a cost-of-living crisis, donating can be a challenge for many. So, this Red Nose Day, we empowered people to spread laughter and awareness—even if they’re unable to make a monetary contribution.

Guz Khan & Ring influencers invite Brits to turn their doorstep into a stand-up stage by sharing their jokes via their Ring video cameras to spread laughter and awareness for a good cause.

“Alexa, tell me a knock-knock joke”

Comedian Catherine Bohart ropes Alexa into the campaign, by teaching Alexa the art of delivering a truly funny joke for Red Nose Day.
